Shouldn't there be an expat community around if your feeling out of sorts? Buck up mate, when your a traveler you have to learn to be confident and willing to try new things. I traveled with my job for years and have been all over it's frightening sometimes but honestly if you get out there you'll find it's not that different and you can be introduced to new things if your willing. so let me get this straight, your in the hottest night spot in europe, you have one day a week to cut loose and your scared. And yes, I did work it out pretty quickly, but my first thought when you mentioned darkrooms was photography!
